A Room With A View
By nottryingforaboy | February 26, 2008
After arriving at the Bellagio, we attempted to check in. Our room was ready, but LushMan slipped the front desk clerk some cash and we got a free upgrade to a fountain room. Score! Apparently, he read about doing that on some Vegas forum, but the trick is well-known enough to have it’s own website.
The new room wasn’t ready so we weren’t going to make it to lunch with my friends. I was bummed, but one of them did meet us in the lobby on the way to go take a nap. It was so great to meet her. We decided to have lunch as well and ate at Noodles which I highly recommend.
After lunch our room was ready. And, yes, I’m strange, but I have a thing for hotel rooms. I have to take pictures. Which means, you have to see them.
First and foremost, the room had a Lush-worthy tub. And since I don’t have one of those at my house that I hatelove, I was very happy.
It was nice to actually fit in a tub and have my entire body covered. My 4 year old barely fits into our tub at home. Ok, maybe that was a little bit of an exaggeration, but still.
Since the tub was so Lush-worthy, I went ahead and took some Lush-baths. On various occasions, I used about 3 different bath bombs, a bath melt, and some new soap and jelly. It was delightful.
The shower was nice too, but the water pressure really sucked. LushMan has a thing for water pressure, so he wasn’t happy at all with it.
The rest of the room was nice.

But the nicest part was the view:

Especially at night:

The fountain show was really neat. The TV had a channel so you could listen to the music that was choreographed to play with the show. The pictures aren’t the best quality, but I’ll share anyway.

I also meant to ask you what kind of camera you have. It does a great job and I’m in the market for a new one!
Thanks!

It is just a simple point and click one. I’d love to have more a manual one to take better pictures, but I have absolutely no idea how.
We actually bought it with United points when LushMan was traveling a lot, but it is a
Nikon Coolpix P4 VR.
