Works For Me Wednesday - Measuring Cups

By nottryingforaboy | February 26, 2008

I’m sure everyone in BlogLand is already reading Ree’s blog, Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. (if you have no idea who I’m talking about, I suggest you give up a week or two and read her blog from her first post on, it is THAT good.)

One of her posts on her cooking blog, The Pioneer Woman Cooks has inspired my Works For Me Wednesday post today. She has off-size measuring cups. So, I needed off-size measuring cups. And I got some. I no longer have to fill up the 1/3 cup twice when I need 2/3. And don’t even get me started on 3/4 cup measuring. Now I just make one cup dirty, instead of two.

You can check them out at amazon. I think I’ve read that William Sonoma sells them too.

This set contains 7 pieces from 1/8 cup to 1 cup.

There is also another set which just has 2/3, 3/4, and 2 cup measurings to use as an add-on to your existing cups.

i have been eyeing these for years. i have multiple sets already (so i can make the 1 cup dirty for flour and sugar separately or whatever) so i haven’t quite justified these…but i can only imagine that they’d be very very very useful!

What a fabulous idea! ( But oh to have the space to store them…) Thanks for the tip- I have using more than one measuring cup.

Oh man — I could totally use something like that. Instead, if something is 1 1/2 cups or something, I just do the 1/2 cup three times because I hate to dirty two different measuring cups.

I bought some of these from Target that I absolutely love. It also came with an egg separator that’s really nice as well.

I have these from William Sonoma and I LOVE them! They are definitely worth the investment. They are so sturdy they should last a lifetime!
