You might recall that at our parent/teacher conference, TheMiddleChild’s teacher [...]
You say it’s *my* birthday!?!
Sunday, March 30th, 2008(Please continue to keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers.)
Why, yes it is!
At least it will be soon. Very soon. April 12th if you missed it on the button. And to celebrate, I am giving away a gift of one of my most favorite things in this world. No, that wouldn’t [...]
Prayers & Good Thoughts Needed
Saturday, March 29th, 2008My mom fell on Friday and really hurt her ribs. Today she finally decided to go to the hospital. She broke 3 ribs and bruised 3 more. But the worst thing is that she punctured her lung and it partially collapsed.
So, now she’s in the ICU until Sunday afternoon at the earliest [...]
Sick…. again
Saturday, March 29th, 2008So, after my inlaws left on Tuesday, I started to get that little tickle in the back of your throat that screams “you’re getting sick, you sucker.”
I tried to fight it, I really did. But it won.
Yesterday, first thing in the morning, I packed up all three girls, bribed the oldest two with Trix- [...]
B-L-I-N-G-O, B-L-I-N-G-O, B-L-I-N-G-O and blingo was his name-o
Friday, March 28th, 2008Yeah, yeah, I’m sure the majority of my internet savvy readers have heard of blingo. And have probably won more often than me, but I just won again and I’m excited and I’m going to blog about it, so there.
I got a $5 gift card to Amazon. That’s right. Just for using [...]
The Recipe Swap - Fancy Schmancy
Thursday, March 27th, 2008 This week’s recipe theme is Fancy Schmancy.
I’m not sure how fancy this is, but it works for company. The first time I had it, my mom served it to my inlaws. I’ve made it for dinner parties as well.
Baked Salmon Stuffed With Mascarpone Spinach
1 bag fresh spinach leaves (10 ounce)
1/2 cup [...]
Works For Me Wednesday - Cloth Diaper Sprayer
Tuesday, March 25th, 2008TheYoungest is my third baby I’m cloth diapering. She’s also the one who has the stickiest poop. With the other two, it was easy to dump the yucky stuff in the diaper in the toilet. But TheYoungest must be eating school paste when I’m not looking. It just does not want [...]
My house is again my house
Tuesday, March 25th, 2008I just dropped my inlaws off at the airport. They have been here since Thursday.
As much as I like them, and I really do love them, it is so nice to have my home be my home again. I can leave dishes in the sink, walk around naked (no, I don’t do that [...]
When did I get so OLD
Friday, March 21st, 2008Yesterday, I received an email from someone who I hadn’t talked to since high school.
She said “Our 20th reunion is Saturday April 26, and the flyers went out this week. Can you make it?”
What the heck!?! It has been 20 years. I am NOT that old.
The Recipe Swap - Kid’s Cheeseburger Pie
Thursday, March 20th, 2008 This week’s recipe theme is Dinners: Family Favorites.
This was a very hard one for me because I have three picky pain in the butt eaters in this house. Yup, TheOldest, TheMiddleChild, and LushMan are all picky. Makes a fun mealtime and meal planning.
So, while this recipe isn’t *my* favorite (though [...]
