Sick…. again

By nottryingforaboy | March 29, 2008

So, after my inlaws left on Tuesday, I started to get that little tickle in the back of your throat that screams “you’re getting sick, you sucker.”

I tried to fight it, I really did. But it won.

Yesterday, first thing in the morning, I packed up all three girls, bribed the oldest two with Trix- they saw a commercial for some as I laid in bed wishing for a few more minutes of sleep-, brought sippies of milk and a bottle and headed to Walgreens where there is a clinic. We were there 10 minutes early so I fed TheYoungest her bottle in the car. Once inside, the oldest ones were thrilled to buy some Trix and then we were first in line for the clinic which was just opening.

I have strep.

I had strep in February.

I had an ear infection in December.

What the heck? I haven’t been this sick since I was a kid- or at least when I was in college. And don’t say it is because of my kids. They aren’t sick at all. The little twerps. If they were they wouldn’t be this loud.

At least today is Saturday and LushMan is home.

I am sorry you are sick! Been there not too long ago! Think about how much we as mothers do each day…it’s no surprise we wear our immune systems down! Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Revisiting all the childhood illnesses, huh? Watch out chicken pox is a killer! Hope you feel better soon!

By the way, thanks for the tip on my ‘auto fill’, as soon as I figure out what that is, I’ll fix it!

Yuck for you. I am sorry to learn that you caught strep. I hope you recover quickly. The good thing about strep is at least the symptoms lessen shortly after the antibiotics get into your system.
