Works For Me Wednesday - Off-size measuring cups (repeat)

This week WFMW is Greatest Hits. I haven’t been blogging for too long so this was fairly recent, but I still think these measuring cups are awesome.

But, before we get into that, have you seen that my birthday is coming up? Click on my birthday button on the left side. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Also, Please continue to keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers. She was in a lot of pain today and now they are saying she will be in the hospital for at least 10 days and that she’s lucky to be alive.  I can’t even go there.

I’m sure everyone in BlogLand is already reading Ree’s blog, Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. (if you have no idea who I’m talking about, I suggest you give up a week or two and read her blog from her first post on, it is THAT good.)

One of her posts on her cooking blog, The Pioneer Woman Cooks has inspired my Works For Me Wednesday post today. She has off-size measuring cups. So, I needed off-size measuring cups. And I got some. I no longer have to fill up the 1/3 cup twice when I need 2/3. And don’t even get me started on 3/4 cup measuring. Now I just make one cup dirty, instead of two.

You can check them out at amazon. I think I’ve read that William Sonoma sells them too.

This set contains 7 pieces from 1/8 cup to 1 cup.

There is also another set which just has 2/3, 3/4, and 2 cup measurings to use as an add-on to your existing cups.

Those are awesome! Now that I’ve seen them, I must have some. I’m a faithful reader of Ree’s - can’t believe I never saw these there before.

BTW, I adore the title of your blog. We have two little girls & people are always asking us when we’re going to try for a boy. It makes me twitch. I want to say, “You know, if we have another baby, we’ll be trying for whatever God gives us.”

Wow, I feel like I’ve been living under a rock! I had NO IDEA those things existed. That is awesome. Hmmm…mother’s day is coming up!

I’ve had something like these for years. Someone gave me a set of Tupperware measuring cups when I was getting married. I LOVE the 2/3 & 3/4 cup sizes!
    Have a great day!!

My mom had these when I was young and it wasn’t until I grew up, got married and tried to make cookies with 3/4 cup of sugar, that I realized the whole world does not. It was a sad day but I hadn’t been able to find any so far. Thanks for the location tips.

I love the name of your blog. We have 5 boys in a row and then a daughter. As you can imagine, everywhere we go people say, “Well, you’re persistent!.”

OH my. I had no idea these were unusual. I’ve always had all those measurements in my set. Maybe they’re more common in Australia?
