There’s a party going on right here…

Please continue to keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers. I’m not going to have a chance to see her today, but the latest news is that she had a very bad night. The nurses thought she was sweating a lot, but what really happened is that her epidural came out. Once they realized that, they changed her pain medications. She’s a little out of it and very drowsy. We learned last night that they said she’s lucky to be alive and that she has at least 10 days in the hospital.
I was able to go to TheOldest’s class on Tuesday at Montessori for her birthday. TheYoungest came with as well and hung out in her car seat. She was the star of the class. All the kids loved her. TheOldest and I played together for a while. Or rather she played and I took pictures.
When I got there, her ponytail had broken so her hair was a complete mess. Kinda like mine always is.

When TheOldest’s had her birthday during her first year in this Montessori class, her teacher made a birthday book. I was to bring a picture for each birthday. She then gets to parade it around in front of all the other kids. This year, they added her Fifth Birthday Picture.
TheMiddleChild, in pink, is in a different classroom but was able to come to the celebration. TheOldest was just so proud we were there.
Then the teachers dim the lights and brings a fake cake with real candles and they sing happy birthday.
TheOldest got to pass around the treats we brought which were yellow smiley face cookies from the bakery. The kids really enjoyed them and she was so proud.
After school we swung by the hospital to visit my mom.
For dinner, we were supposed to have my family over, but with my mom in the hospital, we obviously canceled that. The 5 of us had dinner and then had a cake for TheOldest. She was so excited that she blew out all the candles.
